Meet your teacher!

I grew up on a farm.

Like every kid in my small community, I made that weekly trek into town for piano lessons. It was a big deal for all of us.

Unlike every kid in my community, music became my passion. I practiced and studied and went to college and received degrees in conducting and violin performance.

For many years, I've had the privilege of traveling and performing with fantastic orchestras and many amazing, famous musicians.

Most recently, I taught strings at The Anthony School in Little Rock. For the past twelve years, I also taught violin, piano, and group strings at Little Rock's prestigious Episcopal Collegiate School and I am a member of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

I've dipped my toes into many different types of music - playing classical, bluegrass, rock, Americana, jazz, and Celtic music in many different capacities.

I've been teaching as long as I've been performing. The most satisfying feeling in the world is to see students progress and succeed and develop a love for music.

All along the way, I have experienced the joy of sharing the love of music with others. Music creates a powerful bond, and it just makes us happy!

I recently realized though, I prefer living in the country. So, I pulled-up stakes and moved to the beautiful Ozark Mountains in North Arkansas.

Here, I continue to share the joy of music with children who grew up the way I did and adults who enjoy this slower pace of life. There's nothing like it in the world. In fact, the music sounds even more beautiful.

“Music is a more potent instrument than any other for education, because rhythm and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul.”   - Plato

"Beth is a wonderful teacher for adult beginners! She has a love and enthusiasm for music that comes through in her teaching. I began violin lessons at age 54 and have had great fun with such a patient instructor. If you always wanted to learn but never had the chance, Beth is the instructor for you."   - Ann Bryan
